Brenna G. Fisher focuses her practice broadly on criminal defense, covering all matters from state misdemeanor offenses up to federal white-collar criminal litigation. With experience in both civil law and criminal law, Brenna is dedicated to providing her clients with high quality representation and the knowledge to navigate the criminal justice system.
Since joining the Law Offices of David A. Black, Brenna Fisher has tried numerous matters, ranging from contested injunctions to administrative hearings to major felonies, often achieving complete victories on behalf of her clients. Brenna has handled a variety of state and federal criminal cases, including pre-indictment investigative cases and multi-million-dollar fraud allegations. Brenna spearheaded negotiations which have ended in favorable settlements for her clients. She has also represented clients facing administrative licensing enforcement action by Arizona state agencies. Before joining the Law Offices of David A. Black, Brenna worked at a national law firm representing clients in a broad range of white-collar criminal cases. Brenna has assisted clients who were charged with False Claims Act (FCA) violations, Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA) violations, Consumer Protection Act (CPA) violations, bribery, wire fraud, and embezzlement, among other criminal violations. She has worked on cases involving Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act charges and Securities and Exchange Commission violations. She also assisted corporations with internal investigations and risk assessment evaluations. As part of her position, she worked with individuals and corporations under investigation by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Arizona Attorney General’s (AG) Office.
After graduating as first ranked in her class from University of Wyoming College of Law, Brenna clerked for federal judges in the District of Wyoming and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. During her time clerking, Brenna learned how judges analyze legal issues and had exposure to a wide variety of civil and criminal cases. She uses this experience and insight to advise her clients on the best course of action by anticipating judicial concerns and tailoring her arguments accordingly. In addition, Brenna used this time as a clerk to sharpen her legal research and writing abilities, making her an invaluable and persuasive advocate for her clients during motions practice.
Outside of the office, Brenna spends time hiking with her dog, trying new restaurants in the Phoenix area, and camping in Northern Arizona.
