Melissa Framer Black
Mitigation Specialist
Dr. Melissa Framer Black received her Ph.D. from the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University. She has taught communication courses at DePaul University, Paradise Valley Community College, and Arizona State University. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and her master’s degree from DePaul University.
Dr. Framer Black assists the firm in developing comprehensive mitigation narratives, an essential part of criminal defense work. When enlisted, she uses her specialized interview skills to more fully develop a picture of our clients for the court’s consideration.
Dr. Framer Black is a part-time member of the team and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in professional counseling at Arizona State University
